a. Production and assembly stage
- Component Testing: Conduct insulation resistance tests on individual components such as battery packs, motors, vehicle control units (VCU), and on-board chargers (OBC).
- Vehicle Final Inspection: After vehicle assembly, perform insulation resistance testing on the entire high-voltage system to ensure compliance with safety standards
b. Daily Operation and Real-Time Monitoring
- Onboard Insulation Monitoring Device (IMD):
- Fault Diagnosis: During maintenance, handheld insulation meters (e.g., megohmmeters) are used to locate insulation faults within the battery pack, high-voltage wiring harnesses, connectors, etc.
c. Maintenance and Servicing
- Before High-Voltage System Maintenance: Verify system de-energization and normal insulation using an insulation meter.
- Post-Accident Vehicle Inspection: After collisions, inspect the high-voltage system for insulation damage.
