Unlike checking the color of meat, which can be misleading, a thermometer provides a definitive digital reading of the internal temperature.

The CEM IR-95, represents a modern "2-in-1" design that offers two distinct ways to measure heat:

Surface Scanning (Infrared)

  • Non-Contact: Uses infrared technology to measure surface temperatures without physically touching the food or the grill.
    · Ideal Use: Perfect for checking if a grill grate, pizza stone, or frying pan has reached the ideal searing temperature.

Internal Monitoring (Probe)

  • Contact Measurement: Features a stainless steel probe that folds out to be inserted directly into the thickest part of the meat.
  • Food Safety: Provides the internal temperature reading necessary to meet food safety standards (such as 1°C for ground beef).
